Large-flowered skullcap is a perennial wildflower in the Mint family that is native to the eastern US. It has narrow, pointed leaves and racemes of blue-purple flowers from late spring into summer. Native habitats include pine woods, low meadows, forests, roadsides, and savannas.
 
Plant Characteristics:
Grows 16-20" tall and 8-12" wide.
 
Prefers full sun (6+ hours) and tolerates part shade.
 
Thrives in average to moist soils and tolerates occasional dryness. 
 
Blooms May-July with 1" blue-purple flowers with white below.
