No matter where you plant this foot-tall sedge, it's almost certain to survive. In the wild, Carex blanda is found in a wide range of soil types and moisture levels, and it grows in sun or shade.  It may spread aggressively in disturbed, shaded soils. Deer and rabbit resistant.

Grows 12" tall and 24" wide. 
 
Grows in full sun to full shade. 
 
Grows in a wide range of slightly dry to wet soil types.
