This is a non-native, edible offering.
Fallgold yellow raspberry plants are ever-bearing, producing two crops per year of golden-colored, medium to large berries that are extremely sweet. They are rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, fiber, and manganese. Raspberries should be planted in full sun and slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soil that is organically rich for best performance. If you have clay soil, try growing them in raised beds for abundant berries. Fallgold produces a fall crop on the top third of the canes and a second crop the following spring on the bottom two-thirds of the canes. Prune early in the spring when needed.
Raspberry plants are self-fertile, but they benefit greatly from the pollinating efforts of honey and solitary bees. Bees are responsible for 90 to 95 percent of pollination, and each flower requires a dizzying number of bee visitations in order to form a perfect fruit. The amount of pollination the flowers receive directly affects the size and number of fruits on a bush.
