Black Light Moth Night
Sat, Jul 23
|Delaware County
Many moths and larger caterpillars fluoresce under black light. Guided woodland walks with black light flashlights will help us spot large caterpillars and moths, along with other insects. Stationary lighted moth stations will draw moths in close for observation.

About the event
Kevin Clark, our local "Moth Man" has been raising moths since he was in the first grade. Now he visits classrooms all over Ohio, looking to spark interest in their conservation.Â
Join us at 9:00pm for an introductory discussion about moths: little known facts and what you can do to help conserve them.
As darkness falls, we'll begin a 15-acre loop through meadows and woods in search of glowing caterpillars and moths drawn to our "moth bars," a beer concoction lure they can't resist. Please plan to bring a handheld black light flashlight. Consider the UV Beast for the best visual experience.
Come listen, look and learn about some of Ohio's showiest moths!
